Do you have knowledge of and experience with the introduction of new products and does the development of a prototype into a series model excite you? Are you a natural connector who likes to build a network of relevant suppliers? In that case, the function of NPI product manager at In Ovo can be your new job!
What will you do?
As NPI product manager you support our rapid growth by driving the expansion of our machine park. You are in direct contact with our suppliers and involved in setting up and managing the production process of our machines. As the NPI product manager of In Ovo you are responsible for the new product introduction (NPI) of our high-tech gender screening machine and you will be involved in setting up and starting the series production. Your tasks include the massive upscaling of the output of the series products in order to meet market demand in the future.
You work closely with your engineering colleagues to optimize the machines. You identify and communicate about all relevant matters that can promote a smooth production process. You are able to communicate clearly with your In Ovo colleagues and stakeholders in the various projects. As NPI product manager you are the 'missing link' between R&D and operations and ensure a smooth transfer of new developments to routine use.
You contribute to the technical development and optimal functioning of high-tech equipment by improving and setting up the production processes, workflows and managing developments and associated implementations. Your organizational and management skills directly influence the production and delivery speed of our high-tech machines.
Who are we?
In Ovo is a spin-off from Leiden University. Our expanding multidisciplinary team uses complex technology to make a positive impact on the lives of chickens and farmers. We are known for our high-throughput machine for sexing fertilized chicken eggs. This high-tech system makes the culling of millions of male chicks unnecessary, saves resources and creates a more ethically acceptable egg production channel. This way, we will make a significant, positive impact on animal welfare and sustainability in the global poultry sector over the coming years. We will grow considerably as a company, continue to improve our machines and will put many machines in the market, in order to end the culling of chicks completely.
Who are we looking for?
The goal is to start and manage the series production of our gender screening machines for delivery in 2022. Your efforts result in the development of a prototype into a series model and the introduction of a new product. Managing and guiding our suppliers in the right way is of the utmost importance and goes a lot further than simply purchasing parts.
To realize our growth, we are looking for an NPI product manager. Someone who is able to optimize and further develop our high-tech equipment. With your foresight you excel at drawing the right conclusions. Your knowledge and experience in the field of production, planning and supplier management makes you an essential contributor to the rapid expansion of our high-throughput sex determination machine park.
