Who we are

In Ovo is a spin-off from Leiden University. Our multidisciplinary team shares one common goal: make a worldwide positive impact on the lives of billions of chickens, farmers and the climate through innovations and technology.

In Ovo is known for its technological breakthroughs that are about to change the poultry industry forever. The most well-known being Ella, our high-speed solution to prevent the global annual killing of billions of roosters, and which ultimately has a huge, positive effect on poultry GHG emissions. We are growing rapidly, and upcoming expansions will accelerate that growth.

What will you do?

As a member of with the marketing team, you’ll identify the relevant stakeholders per country and devise a plan to promote the importance of Ella. As campaigner, you build relationships with governmental organizations, retailers, and NGOs and you create awareness about our Ella technology. You’re capable of mobilizing these groups to stop the culling of day-old male chicks. You can inspire people, ensuring a seat at relevant meeting tables, and play a role in the decision-making process. This way, you contribute to the choice where our Ella solution becomes the preferred solution.

In addition, you are present (possibly as a speaker) at events related to food, sustainability, and animal welfare, where you represent In Ovo and Ella. You know how to translate the complex aspects around Ella to the stakeholders, such as ethics, animal welfare, and sustainability. The easier our products find their way to the hatcheries, the more impact we will generate on animal welfare and sustainability on a global scale.
