Netherlands, Zuid-Holland, Ochten€2,800 - €3,300 per monthOperations

Job description

Is monitoring and optimising hygiene protocols and work instructions your passion and your life? Do you have experience in finding the right conclusions after unexpected results in a production process? Then the position of quality engineer at In Ovo is your dream job!

About our company

Since we started out in 2011, we have been developing an automated process to determine the sex of a chick while still inside the egg. We aim to prevent the hatching and then culling of billions of male chicks worldwide just because they do not lay eggs. In 2020, we installed the first version of our Ella machine in a hatchery. Since then, we have developed the technology further, and a new, improved Ella began operating in 2022.

We can proudly report that during the last few months alone, we have prevented 400,000 day-old male chicks from being killed. Our mission is to end the culling of male chicks completely.

You will be joining a young and ambitious team that likes to have fun. With the whole team we work very hard to realize the success of the company. This creates many challenges and therefore also many victories, and successes are there to be celebrated. In short: a pleasant and informal atmosphere! Catching up with colleagues is extremely valuable to us to maintain our connection.

Your role

At the production site in Ochten, you know all the ins and outs of our production process.

With this knowledge, you are able to check our quality protocols and optimise them wherever possible. In this role, you will be monitoring various processes during production, with which quality and hygiene are monitored and linked to the outcome of the production process. In the event of disappointing production results, you will identify these and compare them with the hygiene and handling in the process. Then, based on the measurement results, you will recommend which adjustments for improvement can be made.
