Research technician mass spectrometry (MS)

Are you a technical expert, do you have knowledge of and experience with mass spectrometry and do you enjoy setting up experiments to speed up and improve the output of high-tech machinery? Do you have affinity with a fast-growing environment, animal welfare and technology? Then the position of research technician mass spectrometry (MS) at In Ovo is of interest to you.

What are you going to do?

To ensure optimization, you regularly run production shifts, perform regular maintenance and support the service engineers with the installation of parts when necessary. Writing a service manual and the required protocols are of course also part of your job description

You will work closely with R&D colleagues to optimize our machinery. You identify and communicate about all possible mass spectrometric matters that will ensure a smooth production process. In a natural communicative way you are able to include stakeholders in what needs to be done. You motivate and inspire your In Ovo colleagues and other stakeholders in the various projects.

Who we are

In Ovo is a spin-off from Leiden University. Our team is multidisciplinary and uses complex technology to make a positive impact on the lives of chickens and farmers. We are known for our high-throughput machine for sexing fertilized chicken eggs. This high-tech system eliminates the need to manually sort newly hatched chicks and prevents the killing of billions of roosters every year.
