Do you like to sell innovative, high-tech machines with a huge impact on our customers and the food industry? Are you able to manage the high demand of our potential customers? Then the position of sales manager at In Ovo is your ultimate challenge.
What is your role?
Over the past 10 years, In Ovo has been developing and implementing our high-tech Ella machine, which can determine the gender of eggs. This prevents the culling of millions of chicks per sold machine and has massive impact on animal welfare and efficiency. With new legislation and interest from retailers coming up in multiple countries, we see more and more hatcheries requesting the In Ovo solution to support their business. We are looking for a sales leader who will work with our team and clients to implement machines around the world in the coming years.
As our sales manager, you’ll be the one marketing our solution internationally. You proactively approach relevant parties in the market and know how to bind these prospects to In Ovo with the right arguments. The sales manager is also responsible for maintaining relationships with large, existing customers.
As a sales manager you understand the importance of personal contact and relationships within the poultry sector. You regularly meet face-to-face with important, international leads to build the relationship. Collaborating closely with your colleagues from R&D, marketing and operations, your enthusiasm and sincere interest allow you to successfully connect with all parties involved. By making clear agreements and closing new deals, you ensure the rollout of our Ella machines in the market.
Travelling is an important part of the job. Initially, this will be mainly within Europe and eventually worldwide. The sales team will expand over the coming years.
Who are we?
In Ovo is a spin-off from Leiden University. Our expanding multidisciplinary team uses complex technology to make a positive impact on the lives of chickens and farmers. We are known for our high-throughput machine for sexing fertilized chicken eggs. This high-tech system makes the culling of millions of male chicks unnecessary, saves resources and creates a more ethically acceptable egg production channel. This way, we will make a significant, positive impact on animal welfare and sustainability in the global poultry sector over the coming years. We will grow considerably as a company, continue to improve our machines and will put many machines in the market, in order to end the culling of chicks completely.
