Supply chain manager

Job description

Do you have knowledge of and experience with the introduction of new products and does the development of a prototype into a series model excite you? Are you a natural connector who likes to build a network of relevant suppliers? In that case, the function of supply chain manager at In Ovo can be your new job!

Who are we?

Over the past 10 years, In Ovo has been developing and implementing our high-tech Ella machine, which can determine the gender of eggs. This prevents the culling of millions of chicks per machine and has a massive impact on animal welfare and efficiency, saves resources, and creates a more ethically acceptable egg production channel. With new legislation and interest from retailers coming up in multiple countries, we see more and more hatcheries requesting the In Ovo solution to support their business. We will grow considerably as a company, continue to improve our machines and will put many machines in the market, in order to end the culling of chicks completely. This way, we will make a significant, positive impact on animal welfare and sustainability in the global poultry sector over the coming years.

You will be joining a young and ambitious team that likes to have fun. The entire team works ambitiously to realize the success of the company and our solutions. This creates many challenges and therefore also many victories, and successes are there to be celebrated. In short: a pleasant and informal atmosphere! Catching up with colleagues is extremely valuable to us to maintain our connection.

What will you do?

As supply chain manager you support our rapid growth by driving the expansion of our machine park. You are in direct contact with our suppliers and involved in setting up and managing the production process of our machines. As the supply chain manager of In Ovo you are responsible for the new product introduction (NPI) of our high-tech gender screening machine and you will be involved in setting up and starting the series production. Your tasks include the massive upscaling of the output of the series products in order to meet market demand in the future. You work closely with your engineering colleagues to optimize the machines. You identify and communicate about all relevant matters that can promote a smooth production process. You are able to communicate clearly with your In Ovo colleagues and stakeholders in the various projects. As supply chain manager you are the 'missing link' between R&D and operations and ensure a smooth transfer of new developments to routine use.

You contribute to the technical development and optimal functioning of high-tech equipment by improving and setting up the production processes, workflows and managing developments and associated implementations. Your organizational and management skills directly influence the production and delivery speed of our high-tech machines. The goal is to start and manage the series production of our gender screening machines for delivery in 2022. Your efforts result in the development of a prototype into a series model and the introduction of a new product. Managing and guiding our suppliers in the right way is of the utmost importance and goes a lot further than simply purchasing parts.
